The Bible tells us:
“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” James 5:16
Fact is, sometimes we get a heavy heart. We all know from experience that a troubled spirit can be a sign that something’s not right between us and God. When that happens, it helps to pray. And sometimes we need to have a time of confession.
Some say that “Confessing to God brings forgiveness, but confessing to another believer in Christ brings healing.”
The problem is that we don’t usually know who to trust. We fear that what should be confidential sometimes isn’t. There’s too many ways we can get burned. At the same time, we realize that we do sometimes need to get things off our hearts and to confess something to another person– just to honor this principle of scripture, and to begin the healing and restoration process. After all, the Bible says that all believers are priests– and we can all approach God and help others approach God through this bibilical priesthood. So there’s no reason to go to an actual confessional… make your smart phone, pad, or computer your confessional– and the Podcast Seminary Confessional will serve as your priest.
So, in the spirit of that idea, and because the Bible tells us to confess to one another for healing, here we go! And after you finish, share our confessional with someone else that may need it!
